Feliz Año Nuevo 2026
El equipo de Mageia desea a toda la comunidad un feliz 2026 lleno de paz, felicidad y alegría.
Mageia tiene novedades para este nuevo año: una nueva versión estable y nuevos servidores. El equipo está cumpliendo con el calendario de lanzamiento de Mageia 10 anunciado anteriormente. La versión alfa aún se encuentra en fase de pruebas y esperamos poder lanzarla pronto a los usuarios. Como se indicó en la publicación anterior, esta versión ha presentado varios desafíos, pero la mayoría se están resolviendo. Esperamos con interés no solo el lanzamiento de la versión alfa, sino también una actualización después de la próxima reunión de desarrolladores.
El último kernel estable, 6.18.x, funciona a la perfección, según mi experiencia, tanto en Cauldron como en la versión retroportada a la máquina estable de Mageia 9 desde la que estoy escribiendo esto.
Como se ha comentado en publicaciones anteriores, Mageia también cuenta con nuevos servidores que facilitarán el desarrollo. Se ha trabajado en su configuración y el equipo está trabajando con el centro de datos para ajustar las conexiones de red.
Este año se celebrará una asamblea general para evaluar el año pasado y trazar el camino a seguir para 2026 y más allá. El consejo también deberá evaluar la creciente transición a Wayland, un tema que ha generado debate entre los desarrolladores, y otros cambios en el ecosistema Linux a medida que avanzamos.
