Blogdrake recomienda descargar las imágenes de instalación (iso) vía torrent para evitar corrupción de datos, aprovechar mejor su ancho de banda y mejorar la difusión de las distribuciones.
Probando OpenMandriva: no me funciona el driver NVIDIA y veo dos repos casi iguales
Estos días tenía previsto actualizar Mageia 4 a Mageia 5, pero he decidido aprovechar para instalar OpenMandriva y así poder comparar ambas distros. Pues bien, he instalado OpenMandriva 2014.2 y resulta que no me funciona el driver privativo de NVIDIA (v. 340), que en Mageia 4 me funcionaba a la perfección (hasta la v. 331, que fue la última publicada).

Por cierto, otra cosa que me ha sorprendido es que en el listado de repos oficiales aparecen dos de nombre casi idéntico: "Main32 Updates" y "Main32Updates":

Gracias katnatek. Efectivamente, con urpmq --list-url he comprobdo que se trataba de un duplicado, pues la url era exactamente la misma. He desactivado uno de los dos repos duplicados, para que no me ralenticen las búsquedas :-)

Resuelto hoy el problema del driver NVIDIA con la actualización a la versión 340.76-1.1. Debía de ser un bug del empaquetado anterior. Saludos.
