No puedo entra mi home

Amigos: Hoy por la tarde llego a encender mi equipo (Mandriva 2010. 2 con KDE) y no puedo acceder con mi cuenta de usuario, dice que no puedo acceder a / o algo así. Entro como Xguest, y con espanto veo que mi home no existe..??? Veo el disco y la partición completa home esta de color gris, como linux nativo, no en rojo con sistema ext4.
Lo había apagado un par de horas atrás sin ningún problema. No se que paso y necesito trabajar urgente con mis cosas.

Entiendo el pánico que debes tener pero ante todo tranquilo: seguro que tus datos están ahí.
Pega aquí
- la salida del comando dmesg
- el contenido del fichero /etc/fstab
- pega el contenido al hacer el comando mount -a
- prueba entrar en drakconf y en la parte de Discos locales administrador de discos....si puedes danos un pantallazo.

Respecto del home, actualemte estoy en el home de xguest, debe ser ese pues es el unico que hay actualmente.

Mira también los permisos (con root) que tiene tu home...a ver si es que no tienes permisoso para poder ver tu propio home.

Dándole otra mirada al fstab, veo que dice lo siguiente:
Tan sólo 1 GB para /home me parece poquísimo. ¿Seguro que no has tocado nada? ¿En qué partición tenías alojado /home? ¿Era en otro disco duro? ¿Qué tabla de particiones tenías anteriormente?

¿No habrás tocado las particiones y cambiado home de ext4 a ext2? o bien ¿No habrás apagado mal y dañado la particición?Sería bueno que revisaras la integridad de la partición y que buscaras en lost and found si no están allí tus archivos.

Selecciono el usuario ruben al poner la password, aparece:

Luego de un enter, otro mensaje que dice:

Como comente, por la mañana trabaje sin problemas, lo apague sin problemas, luego no pude reingresar. Mi home esta en /home/ruben al entrar como xguest, entro, pero revisando veo que no esta la carpeta /home/ruben/... reviso con dolphin como root y nada, la carpeta /home/ruben no existe.
Revise el disco duro, y la particion home estaba desmontada. La monte en /home y nada... sigue igual, solo veo y puedo operar como xguest, de mi home/ruben ni rastros.
Es muy pero muy raro, cuando lo apague, desconecte la energia elecrica y quite la bateria de notebook, nada pudo haber pasado. La verdad estoy muy intrigado y aproblemado.

Amigos... luego de visitar foros, revisar el disco, etc,etc. No pude resolverlo, simplemente el /home/usuario/ desaparecio.
Es lo mas extraño que me ha ocurrido, apague sin problemas y 2 horas despues simplemente habia desaparecido. En el home solo estaba el Xguest, pero ni rastro del usuario. Entre como root, corri el fsck, testdisk, monte, desmonte,etc... y nada.
Hice algunas cosas como Xguest, por el apuro de trabajar, pero un par de archivos que grabe al reiniciar tampoco estaban. Asumiendo que podia ser un error de disco o un muy improbable virus, sumado a que en los ultimos dias la conexion a internet estaba muy pero muy lenta, decidi reinstalar, formateando de nuevo tanto el / como el /home.
Llevo casi 5 años con Mandriva y nunca tuve ningun problema, y que se desaparezca de la nada un directorio, un usuario, se desmonte la particion /home y cambie de ext4 a Nativo de linux, francamente me supero.
Ahora a empezar de nuevo, no queda otra.
