In Mageia/cauldron/x86_64: Dex is a library supporting "Deferred Execution" with the explicit goal of integrating with GNOME and GTK-based applications. It provides primatives for supporting futures in a variety of ways with both read-only and writable views. Additionally, integration with existing asynchronous-based APIs is provided through the use of wrapper promises. "Fibers" are implemented which allows for writing synchronous looking code which calls asynchronous APIs from GIO underneath.

These results are only calculated and drawn on user demand via menu items or buttons, e.g. xnec2c is interactive and does not execute NEC2 "commands" in batch style as the original does.

There are several differences: o dd_rescue does not provide character conversions. o The command syntax is different. Call dd_rescue -h. o dd_rescue does not abort on errors on the input file, unless you specify a maximum error number. Then dd_rescue will abort when this number is reached o dd_rescue does not truncate the output file, unless asked to. o You can tell dd_rescue to start from the end of a file and move backwards. o It uses two block sizes, a large (soft) block size and a small (hard) block size.
