In Mageia/cauldron/x86_64: OpenFOAM is a free, open source computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software package released by the OpenFOAM Foundation. It has a large user base across most areas of engineering and science, from both commercial and academic organisations. OpenFOAM has an extensive range of features to solve anything from complex fluid flows involving chemical reactions, turbulence and heat transfer, to solid dynamics and electromagnetics. This package provides the platform specific binaries and modules located in /usr/libexec/openfoam and /usr/lib64/openfoam, respectively.

In Mageia/cauldron/x86_64: The x3270 program opens a window in the X Window System which emulates the actual look of an IBM 3278/3279 terminal, commonly used with mainframe applications. x3270 also allows you to telnet to an IBM host from the x3270 window. Install the x3270 package if you need to access IBM hosts using an IBM 3278/3279 terminal emulator.

In Mageia/cauldron/i586: QOwnNotes is the open source notepad with markdown support and todo list manager for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Windows, that works together with the default notes application of ownCloud and Nextcloud. You are able to write down your thoughts with QOwnNotes and edit or search for them later from your mobile device, like with CloudNotes or the ownCloud/Nextcloud web-service. The notes are stored as plain text files and are synced with ownCloud's/Nextcloud's file sync functionality. Of course other software, like Syncthing or Dropbox can be used too. I like the concept of having notes accessible in plain text files, like it is done in the ownCloud/Nextcloud notes apps, to gain a maximum of freedom, but I was not able to find a decent desktop note taking tool or a text editor, that handles them well. Out of this need QOwnNotes was born.

QXmpp strives to be as easy to use as possible, the underlying TCP socket, the core XMPP RFCs (RFC3920 and RFC3921) and XMPP extensions have been nicely encapsulated into classes. QXmpp comes with full API documentation, automatic tests and many examples. QXmpp uses Qt extensively, and as such users need to a have working knowledge of C++ and Qt basics (Signals and Slots and Qt data types). Qt is the only third party library which is required to build QXmpp, but libraries such as speex, vpx and theora enable additional features.
