¿Como configurar que por defecto la salida spdif sea 96/24 para todas las aplicaciones?

Me gustaria saber si es posible que por defecto la salida spdif sea 96/24 para todas las aplicaciones, entiendo que es podible, ya que segun un cat de /proc/asound/cards, si parece que se soporte el muestreo.
segun alsa_out, ya esta trabajando a 48000hz por defecto:

Dispongo de un receptor AV que es capaz de procesar a 96/24
En windows el driver si me permite seleccionar estos muestreos , y entiendo que en linux tambien, pero no se que fichero debo modificar.
