Atunes no funciona

buenas noches, instale atunes pero al dar el directorio de mi musica se queda cargando y no pasa de ahi, lo he dejado las horas y no pasa, alguien sabe como solucionar esto?

Abría que saber que vesión pide el atunes, a lo mejor debes usar una versión de atunes mayor que la que hay en los repositorios.

instale el paquete que me dices y nada, esa pantalla siempre la e visto......... pero ya intentaste dar una ubicacion donde tengas algo de musica? y que la cargue -.........cuando seleccionas un directorio y le das aceptar.................chan chan chan channnnnn........ hasta ahi llego aun sean 2 canciones nunca termina .........

Bueno primero gracias por contestar........comento
ya lo instale, borre la carpeta y arranco y cargo mi musica, HASTA AHI TODO BIEN, configure algunas cosillas y me pidio reiniciar el programa, dije ok, y cuazzzzz, ya no reinicio se alento brutalmente ya no habrio nada....... y dije nada ni una ventana de firefox nada, reinicie y funciono de nuevo aunque muy lento........ en fin seguire probando (Ademas si reproduzco una cancion desde amarok, audacious, kaffeine, etc. se oye por lapzos entrecortada se oye bien un rato y despues de unos 2 o 3 minutos otra vez se entrecorta parece que mi disco duro se rayo jajajajajajaj)
mi pc que no creo que sea por eso que se alento

Pues no se, igual es que tu pc se ralentiza mucho con aplicaciones basadas en java. Prueba en cambiar en las configuraciones de atunes el mplayer por xine. Si no tienes xine lo instalas antes, esta en los repositorios de mandriva.
A mi me funciona bien, pero mi portátil es dual core con 3 gigas de RAM,y 32 bits.
