Problemas de resolucion con monitor Dell LCD E190SF en Mandriva 2011

Saludos, como van, me acobo de comprar un monitor dell lcd E190sf de 19 pulg. la cuestion es que lo conecte pero se me ve mal como si estuviera empañado, como medio borroso, he cambiado configuracion de todo y nada, tengo una nvidia geforce fx 5200, pense que era problema de driver y algo asi, y monte un disco que tengo con win y ahi si me funciona bien de maravilla los colores se ven nitido pero aqui con mandriva 2011 se ve mal, mi antiguo dell crt de 17 se ve perfectamente bien, alguien tiene una idea.

Hay que ver el contenido de /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Antes en repos estaba un programa llamado xrandr, mira si con el no te soluciona el problema.

si el driver lo instale desde los repo, cuando instale el sistema, como comente en mi primer post, en mi antiguo monito crt de 17 pulg. tenia esta misma resolucion 1280 x 1024, y funcionaba perectamente, ademas monte un disco duro en esta misma pc con windows y la misma tarjeta de video y se ve todo nitido, todo ocurre con mandriva se ve todo mal.
Con respecto a esto lspci |grep VGA me sale esto:

Tiene que ser el refresco, hay que ir jugando con el refresco hasta que se solucione. Otras opciones seria usar el nvidia-settings para crear un nuevo xorg.conf, y la {ultima instalar el driver desde el sitio de nvidia, pero para mi es el refresco, lo que talvez con nvidia-settings se pueda solucionar.

Probe con la resolucion y nada los hz y nada probe creando un nuevo xorg.conf y todo sigue igual, lo que no entiendo es porque en el monitor viejo no tengo ese problema, solo es con este monitor, y el problema no es el monitor, porque ya lo he probado con otro sistema operativo, la misma tajeta de video y todo se ve bien.

Lo he solucionado asi, probe con xrandr -s 2 y se me puso todo muy feo, entonces lo que hice fue desintale el driver, quite la tarjeta de video y reinicie la pc con el video inetegrado y vi que todo se veia nitido, asi que instale la tarjeta, en la pantalla negra que me salio me loguee y escribi mcc, me salio que habia un driver popietario para mi tarjeta lo acepte y despues reinicie y cuando me salio la pantalla negra de nuevo, me loguee y escribi XFdrake ahi elegi la tarjeta y listo, todo funciona de maravilla.
